Wicomico Health Department accepting nominations for award

SALISBURY — National Public Health Week runs April 7th - 13th and the 2025 theme is “It Starts Here”, highlighting public health’s importance and how it affects the way we all live, work and play.

This year also celebrates the 30th anniversary of National Public Health Week, focusing on the significant strides made in public health over the years.

In celebration of National Public Health Week, the Wicomico County Health Department will also recognize one special individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the public health and safety of the citizens of Wicomico County. The winner will be announced at the Outstanding Public Health Leader of the Year awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 at 3 p.m. in the DaNang Room of the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center.

Nominations are due by March 17, 2025. Late submissions cannot be accepted.
