For its first year joining the statewide book drive sponsored by the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC), Dorchester County Public Library exceeded its goal and led the state.
Assistant Director Julie Kennedy expressed thanks to the community.
“With your support, we were able to collect 285 books for our 5 community partners, who also serve our community's youth and their families, blowing past our goal of 250 books,” she said.
